STEP01Calves born in Hyogo Prefecture

Sanda beef is made from 100% Japanese black calves born in Hyogo Prefecture.

STEP02Farmers who are production members of the Association

Farmers in Sanda raise cattle with great care. The cattle are nurtured by the safe feed such as barley and corn, Sanda’s unique climate, and clean water.

STEP03Sanda Meat Center

【Biological Inspection】【Hygienic Meat Processing】【Implementation of Various Strict Inspections】
Only cattle that are slaughtered at the local Sanda Meat Center and pass strict meat hygiene inspections can become Sanda meat.

STEP04Stores designated by the Association

Sanda meat is sold only at dealers and restaurants designated by the Sandaniku Meat Distribution Development Association.

STEP05To Consumers

The ‘BSE countermeasure’ is a test to determine bovine spongiform encephalopathy (so-called “mad cow disease”).
